Bulk material compaction / volume reduction

Fine-grained bulk materials with particle sizes below 40 µm, such as silica, color pigments, carbon black, cement, coal dust, kaolin, various ceramic powders, powders for the food industry often have a very large bulk volume, i.e. a low bulk density. Due to the high air entrapment and the large bulk volume, further processing is hindered and high costs are incurred for packaging, storage and transportation.

With vacuum compaction rollers made of our Siperm R material, the bulk volume of such fine-particle bulk materials can be reduced by up to 75% through the combination of mechanical pressure and vacuum.
